IKEA assembly: what to know
PAX is its own job. PAX frames are tall and heavy, and sliding doors need careful alignment to glide without rubbing. I build PAX in the room where it will stand and anchor every frame to the wall.
Tall dressers get anchored. IKEA ships an anchor kit with every tall dresser and wardrobe for a reason. I find the stud and secure it, especially in homes with kids.
Bundle your order. The service call minimum applies once per visit, so a bed, a dresser and a bookcase together cost far less than three separate appointments.
Delivered or picked up. Whether it came from IKEA Costa Mesa, was delivered, or is still in your car, send the product list and I'll quote the whole order.

How much does IKEA assembly cost in Orange County?
Most IKEA pieces start between $75 and $180: BILLY and KALLAX from $75, MALM and HEMNES dressers from $105, beds from $115 and a single PAX frame from $180. A $120 minimum applies per visit.
Do you assemble IKEA PAX wardrobes?
Yes, including KOMPLEMENT interiors, hinged and sliding doors. A two-to-three-frame PAX system with doors starts at $300, and every frame is anchored to the wall.
Can you assemble my whole IKEA order in one visit?
Yes. Send the product list or order confirmation and I will quote everything as one flat rate for a single appointment.
Do you anchor IKEA furniture to the wall?
Yes. Anchoring is from $45 per item and is strongly recommended for tall dressers, bookcases and wardrobes.
Do you take the boxes away?
Small box cleanup is included. For a large pile of cardboard, mention it in your request and I will include it in the quote.
