Setting up a nursery: what to know
Book a few weeks early. Cribs and nursery sets often arrive in several boxes on different days. Book once everything has arrived, ideally a few weeks before the due date.
Follow the crib manual exactly. Crib hardware matters more than on any other furniture. I follow the manufacturer steps, check every bolt and set the mattress height for a newborn.
Anchor the dresser. A dresser used as a changing table is exactly the piece a toddler will climb later. I anchor it to a stud when I build it.
Grandparents too. A crib or pack-and-play at a grandparent's home gets the same care, and I can do both homes on the same day if they are close.

Do you assemble convertible cribs?
Yes, including the conversion kits. I can build it as a crib now and leave the toddler-bed parts labeled for later.
Can you anchor the dresser and bookcase too?
Yes. Anchoring is from $45 per item and I recommend it for every tall piece in a nursery.
When should I book nursery assembly?
After all the boxes have arrived, ideally a few weeks before the due date. Same-week slots are often available.
Do you take the boxes away?
Yes. Small box cleanup is included, and I can haul away a large pile of packaging if you mention it in the request.
